Nikita Haynie is the creator of Write On, Black Girl a movement dedicated to amplifying the voices of Black women who write. A tenacious Georgia peach currently thriving among the sunflowers in Lawrence, KS. Nikita is a writer, black creative, dreamer, and educator. As a black woman writer and speaker, she understands the power in amplifying her voice.
Writing for Black women has always been an act of resistance, and with the lack of exposure for Black women writers and our contributions to the literary realm. Nikita has made it her mission to increase the awareness of Black women's writers voices across binaries. The world desires to silence Black women; however, she believes in the amplification and power of Black women's voices, stories, and experiences. Writing for Black women is therapy. Writing for Black women is healing. Writing for Black women is joy. Writing for Black women is power.
Write On, Black Girl empowers every Black girl to continue to write and read our narrative.
